KWWR Sports Report 7/6/22

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 7-1 to the Atlanta Braves last night (Tuesday). Redbirds starting pitcher Andre Pallante had a disappointing final line going just 3 2/3 innnings, with seven earned runs on 10 hits.

The Kansas City Royals were defeated 9-7 by the Houston Astros.

Royals rookie slugger Bobby Witt Jr. was it by a 97 mile per hour fastball squarely on his right knuckle in the top of the ninth inning.

Initial X-rays done at the stadium last night were negative for fractures.

Additional tests may be done and as of now he is considered day to day.
