Campbell on Conditional Release Until Next Court Date
The case against a former student at Community R-VI High School charged with planning a school shooting is being continued.
Drake Campbell, charged in June with first-degree harassment and second-degree making a terroristic threat, had a counsel status hearing in Audrain County court yesterday (Thursday) and now has a disposition hearing set for October 13th.
According to court documents several people told investigators they heard Campbell talking about shooting up Community R-VI on the last day of school or at graduation.
Campbell reportedly told investigators that he did say several years ago that he was going to shoot up the school and that he used to have a list of people he did not like.
Campbell said he no longer has that list and tries to stay away from those people.
He’s been released from custody conditional to Judicial restrictions.
