Multiple Victims, Mostly Children, Seriously Injured in Gasconade County

Several children were hurt yesterday on US 50 in Gasconade county when 36 year old Ashlee D Nelson, of Neosho, crossed the center line in her 2016 Ford Transit van and struck Brian S Keller, 56, of Payson, IL, driving a 2020 Peterbilt.

Seven minors were in the car, ranging from infant to 15. The infant and the eldest received minor injuries, the two year old, moderate, and the four between the ages of 4 and 13 were all seriously injured, as was Nelson. The driver and two of the children were life flighted to Children’s Hospital in St. Louis and Mercy Hospital Lake St. Louis. The others went to Mercy Hospital in Washington and University Hospital in Columbia.

Keller was uninjured.
