Central Methodist Offensive Lineman Shot by Roommate in Quarrel
Torrance Evans, an offensive lineman for Central Methodist University’s football team, was murdered by his roommate last Thursday. Kundarrius Taylor, 23, pictured above, is charged with first-degree murder.
After being mirandized, Taylor admitted to the shooting, saying the two had not been getting along, that Taylor often felt disrespected.
Police say an argument turned into a confrontation in which Taylor shot Evans twice.
CMU is offering counseling and students are raising money to pay for funeral expenses.
Taylor will be arraigned Tuesday. He is being held without bond.
