Highway Patrol Holiday Statistics
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Missourians were a little more careful this year than last over the holiday weekend. The count reflects the time from 6pm, Friday, September 2, through 11:59pm, Monday, September 5.
Five people died in traffic crashes, one person died in a boating incident, and one person drowned during the 2022 Labor Day holiday weekend.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the preliminary Traffic Statistics during 2022 Labor Day holiday:
- 276 Crashes – Down from 318 in 2021
- 97 Injuries – Down from 121 in 2021
- 5 Fatalities – Down by more than half (11) in 2021
- 113 DWI – 109 in 2021
- 55 Drug Arrests – No information from last year
