Apartment Fire in Jefferson City
An apartment fire yesterday in the 800 block of Monroe in Jefferson City has displaced two adults and four children.
The accidental fire started in the kitchen of a basement apartment and was contained to that area, although the entire unit sustained moderate damage.
No one was home when the fire started and no injuries were reported but firefighters did rescue three cats from the apartment.
