Husband Lights Fire with Children in the House

Court documents reveal that 42-year-old Clarence Aaron Moore of Columbia, called police Tuesday afternoon and told them he had “lit his wife’s bed on fire” and that he had been “playing with gas.”

Moore’s estranged wife told investigators that while he was packing to move out, she left with her current partner for a time, leaving the two minor children with Moore.

Moore is charged with Arson and Endangering the Welfare of a Child for allegedly setting fire to his estranged wife’s bed while two children were in the house.
