Mexico City Council Approves 2022 – 2023 Budget

The budget for the 2022 – 2023 fiscal year for the City of Mexico is now in place following tonight’s (Monday) meeting of the Mexico City Council.

The revenues for the city are estimated at just over twenty-four million dollars with expenditures of twenty-six million dollars.

The deficit will be made up from American Rescue Plan Act money as well as fund reserves.

The City’s fiscal year runs from October 1st through September 30th.

The council also approved the annexation of the Melahn Insurance property east of Pear Motors into the city, approved a supplemental agreement related to the runway lighting and pavement repair project at the Mexico Memorial Airport, and approved the building of a new maintenance building at Elmwood Cemetery.
