Over 1,300 Jobs Coming to the Region
American Foods Group, LLC plans to create more than 1,300 new jobs in the region with an annual payroll of approximately $80 million.
According to a press release from Governor Parson, a state-of-the-art beef processing facility being built in Warren County could have a big impact on local employment.
AFG is family-owned and employs more than 4,500 individuals across the United States. The company evaluated multiple locations for its newest facility where they plan to process 2,400 cattle per day. Governor Parson predicts the plant will generate a $1 billion annual economic impact in Missouri.
The Columbia Regional Economic Development Incorporated board meeting executive vice president Bernie Andrews told 939 the Eagle “We have here in Columbia plants that make finished products, don’t do any processing itself. But it’s great to have that in Missouri now as a facility for our food manufacturing companies that are here.”
