Retired Highway Patrolman to Lead Missouri Lottery
A Macon native is set to become the sixth director of the Missouri Lottery.
Lester Elder will become the Executive Director effective November 7th.
Elder retired after 30 years with the Missouri State Highway Patrol where he served as a sergeant in Audrain County and later in his career as director of the Patrol’s Gaming Division from 2006 to 2011.
He is currently the chief administrator of the Department of Revenue’s Compliance and Investigation Bureau, overseeing criminal and administrative investigations as well as duties related to budget, legislation and policy development.
