Friday Morning Fire On Elmwood Drive Under Investigation
While Mexico fire crews were battling the blaze at Forest Village Apartments on West Breckenridge Friday morning, another fire was reported in the 1000 block of Elmwood Drive.
The fire alarm came in at 2:33 and Mexico Public Safety requested mutual aid from Little Dixie Fire Protection District to assist with both incidents.
Responding personnel eventually found a small fire in the building and it was extinguished by Little Dixie fire crews.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office.
