Missouri American Water Customers to Pay More for Service
Missouri American Water customers will soon see a slight increase in their water bills.
The Missouri Public Service Commission recently approved an increase for the utility’s Water and Sewer Infrastructure Rate Adjustment.
The current rate for that item is 47 cents per 1,000 gallons of water used, the newly approved rate will rise 23 cents to 70 cents for the same usage.
The rate change is to allow Missouri American to recover infrastructure replacement costs incurred from May 1st to July 31st of last year.
The increase should be seen on customer bills starting mid-January.
