Mexico City Council Hears Report On City Financial Audit

For the 33rd straight year, Mexico’s financial documents pass an outside audit with flying colors.

The report on the audit of the city’s financial reporting from independent auditors with Williams Keepers was the bulk of the bi-monthly meeting of the Mexico City Council tonight (Monday).

In other business, the council approved changing providers for the city’s data and phone service as their contract with Spectrum Enterprise has been fulfilled.

The Council approved switching to Socket Telecom out of Columbia and that will bring fiber optic service to City Hall, the Singleton Maintenance Building, the animal shelter, the Fairground Aquatic Center and the wastewater treatment plant.

City phone service would also see upgrades from the new service.

The Council also approved appointments to the Mexico Airport Advisory Board, the University Extension Council, and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
