The Mexico Bulldogs host the Father Tolton Trailblazers in basketball action at the Mexico High School Sports Complex.

9th grade gets things underway at 5:00 followed by the JV boys around 6:15 with varsity action beginning around 7:30 on Gary Filbert Court.

The 98th annual Bowling Green Tourney continues tonight with boys semifinal action.

Elsberry and Van-Far battle for a place in the finals, tipoff is at 5:30 followed by Bowling Green and Winfield at 6:50.

On the consolation side of the bracket, Silex takes on Louisiana at 5:30 followed by Clopton and North Callaway.

That contest has a 6:50 tip.

With just a few weeks left in the NFL season, the Associated Press is announcing finalists for the NFL Honors ahead of the ceremony February 9th.

For defensive player of the year, Chiefs’ Chris Jones will be competing against Nick Bosa from the 49ers and Micah Parsons from the Cowboys.

In the offensive player of the year category, nominees are Patrick Mahomes, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

For MVP, nominees include Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, along with quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen from the Bills, Joe Burrow from the Bengals, and Jalen Hurts with the Eagles.
