KWWR Sports Report 2/21/23
It’s a quad tonight at the Mexico Sports Complex as the Bulldogs host the Pirates of Hannibal.
Junior Varsity gets underway at 5:00pm followed by Varsity girls at 6:30pm.
Varsity boys will take the court around 8:00pm.

The Mizzou women pick up an easy win on the road last night.
They cruised to a 61 – 35 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies led by freshman guard Ashley Judd with 16 points, senior forward Hayley Frank with 11, and graduate guard Haley Troup also had 11 points on the night.
Next up for the Tigers, one final road game Thursday night in Oxford, Mississippi taking on Ole Miss at 6:00.
The Tiger men are in action tonight at Mizzou Arena, hosting the Bulldogs of Mississippi State at 6:00.

District basketball play got underway last night in classes 1, 2, & 3 with boys play.
In Class 1, Higbee beat Madison 73 – 43 and Community R-6 ended Columbia Independent School’s season 67 – 30.
Higbee and R-6 will play in the semifinal game tomorrow night at 7:30 in Glasgow.
In Class 2, Sturgeon got past Paris 45 – 40, Van-Far handled Silex 71 – 37 and Northeast Randolph from Cairo beat Wellsville-Middletown 72 – 44.
Sturgeon plays the #1 seed Clopton tomorrow night at 6:00 and Van-Far takes on Cairo at 7:30, both in Sturgeon.
In New Franklin, Harrisburg beat Fayette 84 – 59, Salisbury easily got past Santa Fe 82 – 31 and New Franklin ended Slater’s season 74 – 53.
Harrisburg takes on #1 seeded Westran tomorrow night at 6:00 while Salisbury gets New Franklin at 7:30 as play continues in New Franklin.
For Class 3, Louisiana handled Metro 74 – 39, and Elsberry beat Sumner 62 – 35.
Louisiana takes on Lutheran North tomorrow night at 5:30 while Elsberry takes on Duchesne at 7:00.
Monroe City squeaked by Clark County 48 – 46 and Mark Twain beat Highland 65 – 48.
Mark Twain faces South Shelby tomorrow night at 6:00 while Monroe City will battle with Palmyra at 7:30.
From Mokane last night, South Callaway handled the Colonels of MMA 79 – 35 to advance to take on Hermann tomorrow night at 6:00 and North Callaway beat New Bloomfield 71 – 40 to set up a semifinal game tomorrow night at 7:30 against Montgomery County.
Girls play begins tonight.
