Two Vandalia Residents Arrested On Federal Drug Charges
Two Vandalia residents are in federal custody following service of a search warrant yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department, they along with the East Central Drug Task Force, DEA, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives served the search warrant in the 300 block of East Walsh in Vandalia and seized roughly a pound of methamphetamine.
49-year old Jason John Ramirez and 45-year old Farrah Elizabeth Ramirez were indicted by a federal grand jury in St. Louis for multiple counts of distributing more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
The indictments were the result of a long-term investigation by the sheriff’s office, the drug task force, and the DEA.
The Ramirez’s were transported to St. Louis by the U.S. Marshal’s Service for housing.
