Madison Man Convicted of Rape
A Ralls County jury convicts a Madison man on statutory rape charges.
According to Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, his office assisted the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney’s office in prosecuting 56-year old Robert Lee Sims, Jr.
Sims was convicted of two counts of first degree statutory sodomy, second degree statutory sodomy, second degree rape, kidnapping, sexual exploitation of a minor, and forcible sodomy for events surrounding the repeated sexual abuse of a minor female child that took place in Monroe County.
The case was heard in Ralls County on a change of venue.
Sims is facing up to three consecutive life sentences plus 44 years in prison and will be sentenced on June 2nd at 9:00 in Ralls County in front of Judge Jason H. Lamb.
