KWWR Sports Report 5/3/23
The St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Los Angeles Angels 5-1 at Busch Stadium last night (Tuesday).
The Redbirds have gotten off to their worst start in 50 years.
Last night was their fourth straight loss and 11th defeat in 14 games.
The Cardinals dropped to 0-10 in the first games of the series, making them Major League Baseball’s only team to not win a series opener this season.

The Kansas City Royals were defeated 11-7 by the Baltimore Orioles at the K.
It’s the 23rd loss in 30 games for Kansas City.

In NFL news yesterday (Tuesday), the Kansas City Chiefs re-signed running back Jerick McKinnon and declined the fifth-year option on teammate and fellow running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
McKinnon turns 31 this week.
He ended the regular season by reaching the end zone in six straight games, helping the Chiefs secure the No. 1 seed and first-round playoff bye.
