Mexico Public Safety Investigating Two Commercial Burglaries
Mexico Public Safety is investigating two burglaries that happened in the early morning hours yesterday (Sunday), May 14th.
In a press release sent out today (Monday) Public Safety says video evidence indicates that a white man broke a door of a business in the 100 block of South Washington, entered, and stole a small amount of money.
At around 5:30am the same person did the same thing at a business in the 2700 block of South Clark, again only getting a small amount of money.
KWWR News has learned the business in the 2700 block of South Clark was Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant.
The owner of the Cookie Club posted on Facebook saying they were woke up yesterday (Sunday) with a bunch of calls saying their store had been broken into.
They found the glass of the front door of the business had been shattered with a few things taken out of the store.
Mexico Public Safety reports the suspect was in a dark SUV, similar to a Jeep Liberty, which was being driven by someone else.
Anyone with information about this or any other crime is asked to contact CRIMESTOPPERS at (800) 392-TIPS or Mexico Public Safety at 573-581-2100.
