Chicken Ordinance Will be Discussed at Tonight’s Mexico City Council Meeting

A discussion of urban chickens is on the agenda for the Mexico City Council when they meet tonight (Monday) at City Hall.

Currently the city allows ten chickens in an enclosure, on a property at least an acre in size, and it must be at least 200 feet from a neighboring property.

In March the city council directed the Planning and Zoning Commission to consider revisions to the current chicken ordinance.

The Mexico City Council will meet at 6pm. The public is welcome to attend.
