Community and Law Enforcement Work Together to Clean Up Egg Mess in Pettis County
A messy situation is cleaned up in Pettis County after a tractor trailer carrying eggs overturned yesterday morning (Thursday).
The Pettis County Sheriff’s Department says the tractor trailer was carrying $60,000 worth of cage free, organic eggs when it overturned in the middle of a construction zone, near HH Highway and Cedar Lane.
No injuries were reported.
Law enforcement scrambled to the scene and community members helped pick up the individual cartons of eggs from the overturned trailer.
It is unclear how the truck overturned.
Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders thanked community members and first responders in a Facebook post for their help in cleaning up the egg mess.
