Identity of Man Who Died in Mexico Home After Disturbance Identified

The man who died inside a Mexico home on Friday, July 7, 2023 is being identified by Mexico Public Safety.

According to Mexico Public Safety the man who died was 66-year-old Rodney D. Bross of the Hannibal area who had been living in Mexico for over a year.

Bross and the victim 51-year-old Jeanne Morris had been living together.

The disturbance happened in the 1000 block of Muldrow around 3:30 Friday afternoon.

According to a social media post from Morris, she was attacked by Bross in her home after taking a shower.

Mexico Public Safety confirmed that Morris was shot during the altercation.

It is unclear how Bross died and the official cause of death has yet to be released.

Morris was taken to University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries on Friday afternoon and released the next day.
