KWWR Sports Report 8/17/23

Mizzou volleyball will have five games aired on national TV.

It was announced this week the games will be televised on ESPN, and the SEC network this season.

The first televised appearance will be September 20, at 6pm at Tennessee.

The St. Louis Cardinals were shut out 8-0 by the Oakland A’s at Busch Stadium last night (Wednesday).

Cardinals starting pitcher Mathew Liberatore was hammered hard in a four-run first inning by Oakland.

Injuries caused Cardinals outfielders Lars Nootbaar and Tommy Edman to exit the game.

Noot left with a lower abdomen contusion after fouling a ball off his groin and Edman departed with a right calf contusion.

The Kansas City Royals were edged out by the Seattle Mariners in a 6-5 loss at the K.
