Callaway County Sheriff’s Office Makes Three Arrests and Recovers Stolen Vehicles and Firearm
Three people are facing charges after recent traffic stops by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office where two stolen vehicles and a stolen firearm were recovered.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop on August 8, on a vehicle on US Highway 54 near County Road 328.
During the stop Joseph Cotton was arrested for Driving While Suspended and a firearm was found which was determined to be stolen out of Madison, Illinois according to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
On August 14, a traffic stop was initiated on a stolen vehicle on I-70 near the State Road A/Z exit.
The driver identified as Melonie Watkins was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail.
A similar stop was made on August 19, of another stolen vehicle on US Highway 54 near the Callaway and Audrain County lines.
The driver, Desmond Hall, was arrested on multiple charges.
