Columbia Elementary School Teacher Dies in Car Accident
A first-grade teacher at Columbia’s Grant Elementary School died in a car accident on Tuesday night.
Letters were sent to Grant families by principal Jen Wingert saying that counselors will be in Caroline Dill’s class and at the school today (Friday) to talk about grief and emotions.
School employees were notified yesterday morning (Thursday) of Dill’s death.
Kansas City CBS affiliate KCTV5 reported yesterday (Thursday) that Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a call of a person in a vehicle inside the Missouri River on Wednesday and that the person in the submerged vehicle was identified as 22-year-old Caroline M. Dill Columbia.
Highway Patrol spokesperson Cpl. Kyle Green would not confirm that information yesterday morning (Thursday).
