Centralia Man Arrested for Breaking Into Coin Machine at Jefferson City Car Wash
A Centralia man has been charged with breaking into a coin machine at a car wash in Jefferson City.
According to a report from KRCG 13 and online court records on Friday, September 1, Jefferson City Police officers were on patrol and heard an alarm going off in the 1700 block of Jefferson Street.
Officers said they observed a green Ford F-150 leaving the parking lot of the Spotless 54 Car Wash and found the alarm coming from there.
The truck was stopped and officers spoke to Kylor Rippeto, who said he left the car wash after hearing the alarm.
After searching Rippeto, officers said they found a large amount of loose quarters in his pocket and saw fresh blook on his clothes, and noticed his thumb was bleeding.
Officers said Rippeto admitted to using a crowbar to break into the coin machine.
Rippeto has been charged with felony counts of stealing and property damage.
He was taken to the Cole County Jail and held without bond.
A bond hearing is scheduled for September 11.
