Centralia Teen Injured in Boone County Accident Where Car Became Fully Engulfed in Flames

A Centralia teen has minor injuries after a one-car accident in Boone County last night (Wednesday).

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened on Route CC at Dinwiddie School Road when a 16-year-old boy was driving his 2002 Dodge Intrepid too fast for conditions and failed to navigate a curve.

The vehicle crossed into the westbound lane of Route CC and traveled off the road and hit a stop sign.

The vehicle became fully engulfed in fire after the driver exited.

The teen was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
