Callaway County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two Men After Separate Weapons Offenses in Auxvasse

On September 21, 2023, at approximately 9am, deputies responded to a reported sexual assault in the 200 block of East Harrison.

The victim, managed to escape the residence and was assisted by a passerby who promptly contacted law enforcement. The victim, later interviewed by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence Investigations unit, reported that the suspect had a firearm and had subjected her to both sexual assault and physical abuse.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect, identified as Zachary McBee, had a NO BOND Department of Corrections Parole Warrant. Subsequently, investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence, which was executed by deputies.

During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement discovered a firearm and approximately 6.5 grams of methamphetamine, leading to the arrest of McBee.

On September 22, 2023, McBee was formally charged by the Prosecutor’s Office with the following felony offenses and a Judge denied his bond:

  • Rape 1st
  • Armed Criminal Action
  • Domestic Assault 3rd
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of Controlled Substance

On September 21, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a reported discharge of a firearm at Show Me Oil in Auxvasse.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Prince Samuels discharged a firearm in the parking lot of Show Me Oil during a road rage incident and then fled the scene. Deputies, working efficiently, located and arrested Samuels within 12 minutes of the incident.

On September 22, 2023, Prince Samuels was formally charged by the Prosecutor’s Office with the following felony offenses and a Judge denied his bond:

  • Unlawful Use of Weapon – Subjection 4 – Exhibiting
  • Armed Criminal Action

It should be noted that Samuels had just been placed on Suspended Imposition of Sentence (SIS) on August 28, 2023 for Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk – 1st Degree (Court Case number 22CW-CR01378-01) after a previous Sheriff’s Office Investigation involving Samuels displaying another firearm.
