Moser’s Foods to be Acquired by Holts Summit Based Company
Moser’s Food Stores is being acquired by Pro Food Systems, Inc (PFSbrands).
Moser’s operates supermarkets in eight locations in Audrain, Boone and Callaway Counties, as well as in Warrenton.
The acquisition is happening through its parent company, the Show Me Oil Company, which also operates a convenience store.
PFSbrands is headquartered in Holts Summit, and has over 2,000 branded food service locations in 39 states, including Champs Chicken.
Moser’s Foods will retain the current branding.
Speaking about the transition, Roger Moser said “I am pleased to be selling our business to a local company that will allow out Moser’s legacy to continue.
All of our dedicated employees will be able to become employees-owners at PFSbrands and will have the opportunity to maintain their current positions.
I’ve been doing business with PFSbrands for over 25 years so I am confident that their leadership team will continue to operate the stores with the same high standards of excellence, commitment to quality and a commitment to the communities we serve.”
The acquisition is expected to close in March 2025.
