Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce Hosts Youth Apprenticeship Lunch and Learn

Representatives from businesses in Mexico and Audrain County packed the Mexico Chamber of Commerce building on Monday, December 18, 2023 to hear about a registered youth apprenticeship program.

Mexico High School College and Career Advisor Rebecca Moppin says they are exploring options of apprenticeships with area businesses that help bring healthy living situations and sustain longer workforce development in the community.

Moppin said this is an expansion on to help solidify the community’s next generation of workforce and includes a partnership with Tyronn Lue’s Cradle to Career (C2C) and a tie in to the work they will be doing within the Mexico Community.
