Centralia Man Injured in Boone County Accident

A Centralia man has minor injuries following an accident in Boone County during the afternoon hours of Monday, January 8, 2024.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened when a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Dakota S. Cable was traveling northbound on Missouri 124, and a vehicle driven by 54-year-old William D. Kirk of Columbia was traveling southbound on Missouri 124.

Cable’s vehicle lost control on the ice-covered roadway and slid into the southbound lane and struck Kirk’s vehicle.

Kirk’s vehicle rotated and traveled off the road, where it came to rest partially blocking the northbound lane.

Both Cable and Kirk had minor injuries from the accident.
