Thousands of Pounds of French Fries Spilled in Montgomery County After Semi Truck is Forced Off the Road
A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he reportedly forced a tractor-trailer carrying 43,000 pounds of french fries off I-70 in Montgomery County during the early morning hours of Sunday, March 10, 2024.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office law enforcement responded to the crash on North Service Road near the 186 mile marker of eastbound I-70.
The sheriff’s office said a driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic, which caused the tractor-trailer to go through a ditch and roll over and the french fries to be scattered across the service road.
No injuries were reported.
According to the sheriff’s office the driver was arrested on suspicion of DWI, driving with revoked license and without insurance, and careless and imprudent driving.
