Mexico Public Safety Investigating Counterfeit Bill Passed at an Area Business
Mexico Public Safety is investigating to try to determine the source of a counterfeit bill taken at an area business.
Mexico Public Safety responded to Ken’s Fast Lube in the 800 block of East Liberty in reference to a counterfeit $10 bill on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
The business had already warned the Mexico Chamber of Commerce so that all local businesses could be made aware.
Mexico Public Safety is reminding businesses to pay attention to money they collect. Common ways to check money are the fell of the paper, the red and blue threads in the paper, the security thread, and the use of counterfeit pens.
