The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team lost 4-1 to Helias on the rod on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Mexico got on the board in the first inning after Ashton Belcher grounded out scoring a run.
Belcher went 1-for-3 at the plate.
Jaydon Eldridge, Austin Maxwell and Ashton Belcher each collected one hit for the Bulldogs.
Sam Ryan was on the mound for Mexico and went six innings, striking out four batters.
The Mexico High School boys tennis team lost 5-4 to Hannibal on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Mexico is 1-4 in North Central Missouri Conference duals.

Following a two month search the University of Missouri is expected to finalize its new athletic director.
Laird Veatch is set to sign a five-year contract with Mizzou after former athletic director Desiree Reed-Francois departed for Arizona.
Veatch has 25 years of experience that spans multiple conferences.
He has made stops in the Big 12 at Iowa State, University of Texas, and played football under Bill Snyder at Kansas State.
In October 2019, Veatch became the athletic director at Memphis, where he helped secure renovations to multiple sports facilities.
MU has not officially announced the news or when they plan to introduce Veatch.
The Kansas City Chiefs announced yesterday (Monday) that they signed head coach Andy Reid, general manager Brett Veach and team president Mark Donovan to contract extensions.
The team did not say how long the deals would last or provide any other details.
The Chiefs said in a statement that the leadership team of the Chiefs will remain in place for the long-term future.
The St. Louis Cardinals put an end to their four-game losing streak with a 5-3 comeback victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Busch Stadium on Monday, April 22, 2024.
The Redbirds spotted Diamondbacks an early 3-0 lead.
Nolan Gorman hit his first walk-off home run of his Major League Baseball career in the bottom of the ninth.
The Kansas City Royals lost 5-3 to the Toronto Blue Jays at the K.
It was the Royals’ third loss in a row and fourth in their last five games.
