The Mexico High School girls volleyball team defeated the Fulton Hornets in Fulton Monday, September 24, 2024.

Mexico defeated Fulton 3 – 0.

It was the second victory against rival Fulton this season.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Fulton 3 – 2 to open the season on September 2, in Mexico.

The Lady Bulldogs improved their record to 5 – 3 on the year.

St. Louis Cardinals reliever Ryan Helsley is chasing a franchise record as the Redbirds play the final week of the season.

Helsley needs two saves to break the franchise record for the most saves in a season.

Trevor Rosenthal, holds the record of 48 saves since 2015.

With the current Cardinals record hovering around the .500 mark, Helsley has either saved or won almost 70 percent of the team’s victories.

Helsley’s first chance to get the record-tying save could come tonight (Tuesday) when the Cardinals start a three-game series in Colorado.

The Buffalo Bills improved to 3 – 0 with a 47 – 10 walloping of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Washington Commanders upset the Cincinnati Bengals 38 – 33.
