KWWR Sports Report 12/13/2024
The Norm Stewart Classic had a host of area teams in competition at Mizzou Arena in Columbia on Thursday, December 12th.
Helias girls defeated Vashon 70-39.
The Hickman girls were victorious over Tipton 73-68.
Fayetteville, Arkansas boys bested Battle 73-66.
Jefferson City boys took down Parkway South 63-53.
The Montgomery County boys defeated Columbia, Illinois 55-40.
The Mexico Bulldog boys lost to Kankakee, Illinois 65-35.
The Norm Stewart Classic wraps up today (Friday) and checking on some of those games it will be the North Shelby girls playing Mack’s Creek at 11am.
They will be followed by North Shelby boys and St. Elizabeth at 12:30.
The Hannibal Lady Pirates play the Rock Bridge Lady Bruins at 2pm.
At 3:30 it will be the Rock Bridge boys playing Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Eugene boys compete against Peoria Manual, Illinois at 5 tonight.
Helias Boys play Vianney at 6:30.
Vashon boys and Oak Park clash at 8pm.
The final game of the night will see the Tolton boys playing Little Rock Central, Arkansas at 9:30.
In hockey, the St. Louis Blues were edged out by the San Jose Sharks in a 4-3 loss at the Enterprise Center on Thursday, December 12th.
Jake Neighbours had a goal and an assist, and Brayden Schenn and Jordan Kyrou each scored for the Blues.
