Structure Fire at Warehouse Tire & Muffler Christy Dr. Jefferson City

The following press release was sent from the Jefferson City Fire Department.

On January 31,2025 at approximately 9:38pm, emergency crews responded to a structure fire at Warehouse Tire & Muffler, located at 1611 Christy Dr, Suite B, in Jefferson City.

The initial report from a car driving by on Hwy 54 stated that a fire was visible in the building.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported flames showing from the interior of the building and heavy smoke and flames showing from the roof.

Crews initiated suppression efforts and were able to quickly contain the fire. Christy Drive was blocked by fire apparatus and charged hose lines throughout the event and JCPD diverted traffic.

Crews remained on the scene to complete the overhaul operation and to ensure the fire was extinguished.

There was significant smoke and fire damage to the shop area of the business.

Jefferson City Fire Department responded with 3 engines, 1 ladder, 2 squads and 2 chief officers.

The Cole County Fire District responded with 1 engine company and Cole County EMS responded with 2 ambulances and 2 chief officers.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries are reported.
