Young Child Killed in Callaway County Vehicle Accident

A child was killed in a vehicle accident in Holts Summit during the morning hours of Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident briefly closed the exit ramp from eastbound U.S. 54 Route AA/OO.

The Holts Summit Police Department reports a 3-year-old girls was found pinned beneath the vehicle and died at the scene.

The vehicle involved was a 1998 Ford Explorer driven by a 29-year-old man from Holts Summit according to the accident report.

A baby less than a year old was also in the vehicle but was not injured.
