Slick Road Conditions Cause of Fatal Vehicle Accident in Pike County
A Louisiana, Missouri man died following a one-car accident in Pike County during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report it happened on Highway 54 west of the exit ramp to Highway 61.
A vehicle driven by a 66-year-old man from Louisiana crossed the center of the roadway, began sliding on the snow covered road, and traveled off the south of the roadway.
The vehicle continued sliding, got stuck on an embankment and overturned.
The man was pronounced dead on scene by a doctor from Pike County Memorial Hospital.
