Columbia Man Charged With Hindering Prosecution in Connection to Death of Fulton Teen
A Columbia man has been charged with hindering the prosecution of a suspect in the death of a 17-year-old Fulton High School student Mason Sheets.
According to court records Boone County prosecutors charged Treyvale Cain-Raybon on Friday, February 28, 2025.
He was arrested on January 28th and posted a $3,000 bond.
Sheets was found dead with a gunshot wound in a vehicle on January 19th.
Detectives were searching for a maroon 2022 Jeep Compass Sport.
According to a probable cause statement, Boone County sheriff’s accuse Cain-Raybon of posting in an Instagram group chat encouraging others to dispose of the stolen vehicle by burning that up or to dump that in a lake.
The burned vehicle was located near a lake.
Cain-Raybon is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday, March 3, 2025.
