Mexico Public Safety Arrests Wisconsin Man Accused of Trying to Obtain Drugs With Fake Prescription at Local Pharmacy
A Wisconsin man was taken to the Audrain County Jail after an arrest in Mexico where he is accused of trying to obtain drugs with a fake prescription during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
According to the news release from Mexico Public Safety on Friday, March 7th, their department became aware of a group of people going to pharmacies in various mid-Missouri cities with fake prescriptions, trying to get drugs illegally.
Around 2pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, an employee at a pharmacy in Mexico notified Mexico Public Safety of someone attempting the same thing.
Officers located 41-year-old Michael J. Hoeppner of Wisconsin, nearby and he was arrested.
Hoeppner was taken to the Audrain County Jail for Fraudulent Attempt to Obtain Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Substance, and an arrest warrant out of Wisconsin.
