Child Injured in Fulton House Fire
A child is recovering from minor burns following a house fire in Fulton during the evening hours of Monday, March 31, 2025.
The Fulton Fire Department, in cooperation with the Central Callaway County Fire Protection District, responded to a residential structure fire in the 1000 block of Cote Sans Dessein Road shortly after 6pm.
According to the news release, fire crews arrived at the scene to find black smoke billowing from the garage.
The fire was successfully extinguished within minutes.
A child, who was present at the residence, suffered minor burns and was treated at the scene by the Callaway County Ambulance District.
The child was safely removed from harm’s way by a family member and a citizen who was driving by and noticed the smoke and flames according to the news release.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
