In high school baseball on 4/16/2025:

University of Missouri women’s basketball has signed transfer forward Jordana Reisma from Cleveland State, head coach Kellie Harper announced on Wednesday.
Reisma, an all-conference performer a season ago, averaged 14.5 points and 6.9 rebounds while leading the Vikings to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) Fab Four.
Reisma started all 37 games during the 2024-25 season while playing 28.5 minutes per contest. Defensively, the forward averaged 1.2 blocks per game.
As a sophomore, she started all 35 games and averaged 9.8 points and 6.0 rebounds. Reisma notched five double-doubles during the season while also shooting 56 percent from the floor (140-250). Defensively, she recorded 77 blocks.
A Horizon League All-Freshman Team Honoree, Reisma appeared in 35 games and averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game in 2022-23. She led the team in field goal percentage at 54.3 percent and tallied double-digits efforts in the scoring column on six occasions.
Reisma was one of three Horizon League players to finish with 40 or more blocked shots on the season, notching 43 in her inaugural collegiate campaign.
A four-time all-conference member out of Brown Deer High School, Reisma was named a Wisconsin Sports Network Defensive Player of the Year Finalist after completing her prep career with 1,210 points, 802 rebounds and 374 blocked shots.
Reisma joins Saniah Tyler in the Tigers’ offseason transfer class.
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Houston Astros 4-1 at Busch Stadium on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
Lars Nootbaar hit a three-run home run for the Redbirds who took two out of three games from the Astros.
The Cardinals will be in New York tonight (Thursday) starting a series with the Mets.
The Kansas City Royals lost 4-3 to the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
Kansas City was swept in the three-game series.
The Royals offensive struggles continued as they are now tied for 27th in the Major Leagues in runs scored and have scored four runs or fewer in 17 of 19 games, which is last in the Majors.
