CRA to Host Training Exercise
Don’t be surprised this morning if you see emergency vehicles and personnel at the Columbia Regional Airport. It’s all part of a training exercise between the City of Columbia, in partnership with the Boone County Office of Emergency Management, local law enforcement agencies, fire department agencies, the Salvation Army and health care providers.
They will hold an emergency training exercise at the Columbia Regional Airport, from 9am to noon, as part of a simulated plane crash. EMS and law enforcement officials will respond as they would to a real emergency.
This exercise allows community partners to prepare in case of a real emergency at the Columbia Regional Airport. The exercise will have no impact on scheduled flights.
