Bond Set in Holts Summit Shooting Death
Bond was set at $150,000 yesterday by a Callaway County judge for Heather Smith, the 37-year old Holts Summit woman charged in connection to the April 13th fatal shooting at Hunter Lane Apartments in Holts Summit.
Smith, who is charged with second-degree murder, three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and armed criminal action, according to court records.
The shooting left 38-year old mother of two, Kara Dills, dead and left two other people injured, including 72-year old Thomas Jones, who was charged with assault after he allegedly tried to hit a deputy after the shooting.
