Columbia Man Appears on Porn Charges

A Columbia man had his initial appearance today after being charged with trying to send pornographic materials to a minor.

42-year-old Kyle Matthew Dobbins was arrested on Friday and charged with a misdemeanor.

According to court documents, the online account that Dobbins was sending explicit material to was actually a person posing as a 15-year-old.

The fake account user reported to law enforcement that Dobbins had sent several inappropriate pictures and asked to meet up with them.

Dobbins is being held in the Boone County Jail without bond and further court dates have not yet been posted.
