2025 Local Lemon Awards
The 2025 Local Lemon program, a youth entrepreneurial initiative in Fulton, has concluded. Students completed coursework from July 21st to July 24th and then put their learning to work on Saturday, July 26th.
The annual program provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of owning and operating their own business, from customer service, finance, and food handling.
This years event featured 8 young entrepreneurs operating 5 vibrant lemonade stands across the community. Collectively, they sold 185 cups of lemonade and earned over $2,100.
Special awards were given to:
- Mergy Lemonade: Best Sales Pitch
- LA Lemonade: Highest Gross Sales
- Lemon Drop Shop: Most Cups Sold
- Loopy Lemon: Best Customer Service
- Ocean Bay Lemonade: Most Creative Stand
Tamara Tateosian, CEO of the Callaway Chamber of Commerce said, “These young business owners gained hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and customer interaction that will serve them well into the future.”
