Wells Bond Hearing Set

A 23-year-old Callaway County man has a bond hearing at 8:30am Friday (August 1) at the Callaway County Courthouse.

Jarret Wells has been charged with felonies of enticement of a child, promoting a sexual performance by a child and possession of child pornography, as well as misdemeanor furnishing pornographic material to a minor.

According to the probable cause statement, Wells was allegedly sending and receiving explicit photos on Snapchat, and trying to have sex with a 14-year-old girl who was babysitting in the Auxvasse area.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office got a report of the sexual offense on the evening of June 29th.

In a post-Miranda interview, Wells allegedly admitted to receiving images from the victim, knowing that she was 14, and leading her on.
