Second Arrest in Moberly Murder
38-year-old Todd D. Turner was arrested on Tuesday by US Marshals in Chahokia Heights, Illinois, after an arrest warrant was issued on July 22nd for the murder of Donald G. Hickem in Moberly earlier this year.
Hickem was found dead from gunshot wounds at a home in the 500 bock of North Moulton Street back in February.
Originally, 37-year-old Timothy Turner of Columbia was arrested for the murder. Turner has since been shot and killed in a July 1st standoff with Columbia police.
Lab results from an autopsy received in mid-June showed three bullets were recovered from Hickem’s body, and that the bullets were from two different guns, according to a probable cause statement.
Turner is being held in the St. Clair County Jail in Illinois awaiting extradition back to Missouri. He’s charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
