KWWR Sports Report 8/4/2025
Missouri football has finished up their first week of camp and are now preparing for their first scrimmage of the Fall today on the MU campus. The Tigers are just 24 days away from the season opener against Central Arkansas.
The Royals and Blue Jays were in a pitchers duel yesterday going into extra innings tied at 2, and that’s when the fireworks began. Kansas City scored five runs in the top of the 10th and then held on for a 7-4 win over the hometown Blue Jays. The win pulled KC back to the .500 mark, just 3 games out of the final wild card spot.
The San Diego Padres took 2 of 3 from the St. Louis Cardinals with a 7-3 win over the Cards yesterday. St. Louis scored all three of their runs in the top of the 9th and had two runners on when Masynn Winn lined back to the pitcher to end the game.
